Low-Temperature Flotation Separation of Diaspore from Kaolinite by Using a Mixed Collector

In this paper, the effect of a new mixed collector sodium oleate (NaOl)/tert dodecyl mercaptan (TDM) on separation diaspore and kaolinite at 283 K was investigated. The molar ratio NaOl to TDM is 8:2. properties its adsorption mechanism were studied by surface tension measurements, Zeta potential determinations XPS analysis. flotation results show that NaOl/TDM has good collection ability for selectivity low temperatures. Therefore, can effectively separate under alkaline conditions K. measurements molecular density, hydrophobic association are better than those single addition, formation micelle synergistic effect, which improves reagent activity temperatures with enhanced. analysis total capacity higher NaOl, similar NaOl. may be adsorbed hydrogen bond
