Machine Learning Methods for Histopathological Image Analysis: A Review

Histopathological images (HIs) are the gold standard for evaluating some types of tumors cancer diagnosis. The analysis such is time and resource-consuming very challenging even experienced pathologists, resulting in inter-observer intra-observer disagreements. One ways accelerating an to use computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems. This paper presents a review on machine learning methods histopathological image analysis, including shallow deep methods. We also cover most common tasks HI as segmentation feature extraction. Besides, we present list publicly available private datasets that have been used research.
