Magnetic Hedgehog Lattice in a Centrosymmetric Cubic Metal

The hedgehog lattice (HL) is a three-dimensional topological spin texture hosting periodic array of magnetic monopoles and antimonopoles. It has been studied theoretically for noncentrosymmetric systems with the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction, but stability, as well properties, remains elusive in centrosymmetric case. We here investigate ground state an effective model long-range bilinear biquadratic interactions cubic metal by simulated annealing. show that our stabilizes HL composed two pairs left- right-handed helices, resulting no net scalar chirality, stark contrast to find turns into topologically-trivial conical states applied field. From detailed analyses constituent we clarify ellipticity angles helical planes change gradually while increasing discuss results comparison experiments SrFeO3.
