Magnetoresistance and quantum oscillations in the WTe-=SUB=-2-=/SUB=- semimetal

چکیده
The discovery of extreme magnetoresistance (XMR) in non-magnetic materials attracted attention to the WTe 2 semimetal. We have carried out studies a tungsten ditelluride single crystal magnetic field range up 14 T. Magnetoresistance increased with increasing following near quadratic law without saturation. Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations were observed. Four fundamental frequencies found spectrum, which correspond two electron and hole pockets caused by strong spin-orbit coupling.
