A 61-year old Chinese female was referred from a general private practitioner for persistent buccal abscess after completion of root canal treatment tooth 37. On clinical examination, 37 presented with metal-ceramic crown (CMC) 2mm gingival recession noted at the region. The overlying amalgam core overhanging on distal and grade 2 mobility. CMC have no contact point distal. Tooth not tender to palpation but percussion. No periodontal pocketing detected. periapical radiograph revealed radiolucent area associated end its root. These apices were resorbed, probably result apical periodontitis there. Widening space this diagnosis chronic external resorption C-shaped made 37.Membrane barrier technique MTA used obturation. bonded placed in tooth.
