Maternal serum amyloid A level as a marker of primary unexplained recurrent missed miscarriages

Objective: To assess maternal serum amyloid A (SAA) levels among women with primary unexplainedrecurrent missed miscarriages.Patients and Method: prospective study (case control study) in Al-Zahraa Maternity Hospital, Najaf,Iraq, from first of January to the December 2019 was conducted 91 who weredivided into two groups:1. Group 1: Patient miscarriage early trimester at least consecutive primaryunexplained REPLs no previous live births were enrolled.2. 2: group formed history REPL had leastone uneventful pregnancy adverse outcomes.Serum samples collected measure SAA levels. The main outcome association betweenSAA unexplained REPL. total number participants. Mean level increased inwomen abortion than those (p<0.001). wasdependent indicator REPL, (p<o.oo1). found that Alevel womenwith miscarriages represent as biomarker this complication pregnancy.Conclusions: Serum theoretically a promising marker prompts further for miscarriage.
