Mathematical modeling of non-Newtonian fluid in arterial blood flow through various stenoses

Abstract Since the stenosis geometry of some cardiovascular patients cannot be described by a vertically symmetric function throughout stenosis, so it motivates us to study blood flow through asymmetric stenosis. In addition, we compare quantities in bothvertically and stenoses. The is explained such as an exponential bell shape cosine shape. interpreted combination two different shapes. Blood treated non-Newtonian fluid which represented power-law model. finite difference scheme used solve governing equations for obtaining axial velocity, radial rate, resistance flow, skin friction. We investigated way that height, length, behavior affect three various show significantly behavior. Moreover, found single (bell or shape) have same combined first half part, but slightly last part.
