In this study, we perform an analytical investigation of the electro-optic (EO), Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) transmission boundary area with a nonlinear model. We propose model that represents allowable RF input amplitude within MZM area. investigate maximum and confine its harmonics using theory, RoF simulation, characteristic experiments. The in is convenient technique can without optical amplifier, filter, or other devices links. select several amplitudes account for harmonic distortion investigation. 0.8 times EO switching voltages. areas show near voltage value, harmonics-to-main ratio (HMR) less than 10%. Furthermore, inputs are still appropriate QPSK modulation. evaluate these modulation signals terms error vector magnitude constellation diagram. After considering fiber impairment, thermal noise, signal QPSK, ACLR EVMs satisfy 3GPP specification. models small medium sized radio-over-fiber
