Measuring Method for Gloss Unevenness with Three Directional Lights

In this paper, we introduce the analysis for gloss unevenness by using developed multiple directional incident lights optics. Gloss is strongly related to recognition of material texture. However, it looks different depending on angles, so has been difficult measure quantitatively. The caused surface roughness able analyze distribution normal surface. We have optical system that simultaneously illuminates with light from three directions, and captures images in one shot. confirmed can be estimated analyzing image. This proposed method not only image, but also estimate shape As an application observation technology, possible detect scratches coating industrial quality control.
