Background: Heavy metals are the natural constituents of earth's crust but indiscriminate human activities have drastically effected their biochemical balance and geochemical cycles. compounds pharmacological importance. These being used in south Asian countries as component different medicines. medicines may serious side effects on liver. Objectives: To see histological changes Kushta which contains mercury, liver wister rats. Material Methods: It was an animal experimental study a total 42 Wistar rats were included divided into five exposed one control groups. Morphological observed by using indigenous well patent mercury preparations. Results: hepatocyte swelling, necrosis, apoptosis, disarray hepatic architecture, development portal tract inflammation, central vein congestion, sinusoidal congestion dilatation, fatty change damage to vascular capsule seen at end 8 weeks.
