Method for Direct Localization of Multiple Impulse Acoustic Sources in Outdoor Environment

چکیده

A method for the direct outdoor localization of multiple impulse acoustic sources by a distributed microphone array is proposed. This problem great interest gunshot, firecracker and explosion detection in civil environment, as well gun, mortar, small arms, artillery, sniper military battlefield monitoring systems. Such kind complicated technical many aspects. In such scenario, permutation arrivals on microphones occurs, so application classical two-step methods, time-of-arrival (TOA), time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA), angle-of-arrival (AOA), fingerprint etc., faced with so-called association problem, which difficult to solve. The does not exist proposed (one-step) localization, more suitable given scenario than mentioned methods. Furthermore, method, performed impulse. observation interval used could be arbitrarily chosen; it limited duration impulses. mathematical model formulated paper, atmospheric factors signal propagation (temperature, pressure, etc.) are included. results simulations show that using centimeter accuracy can achieved.
