Methodological Design Optimization of a Marine LNG Internal Combustion Gas Engine to Burn Alternative Fuels

Marine emission policies are becoming more demanding; thus, ship propulsion and power generation technologies need to be adapted current scenarios. LNG is already considered a transition fuel, new alternative marine fuels emerging. The aim of this study was develop an innovative methodology optimize adapt the combustion system internal engine burn fuels. present based on LBG, but could replicated with other A total six tests were carried out, three prechamber designs spark plug designs.
