Effect of cationic head group on micellization behavior of new amide-functionalized surface active ionic liquids.
Amide-functionalized surface active ionic liquids (SAILs), 1-methyl-1-dodecyl piperidinium chloride, [C12APip][Cl]; 1-methyl-1-dodecyl pyrrolidinium chloride, [C12APyrr][Cl]; 1-methyl-3-dodecyl imidazolium chloride, [C12Amim][Cl], and 1-methyl-1-dodecyl morpholinium chloride, [C12AMorph][Cl], have been synthesized, characterized and investigated for thermal stability, and micellization behavior...
متن کاملImidazolium ionic liquids containing selenium: synthesis and antimicrobial activity.
The synthesis and antimicrobial profile of imidazolium ionic liquids containing selenium are described herein. Minimum inhibitory concentration revealed that these compounds are especially active against algae, and their activity is modulated by substituents attached to the selenium moiety as well as by the counterion.
متن کاملNonaqueous Microemulsions Containing Ionic Liquids – Properties and Applications
There is a still growing interest in ionic liquids (ILs) in general and room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) in particular resulting from their fascinating and outstanding properties and wide range of potential applications. The research field of ILs was almost entirely related to imidazolium, pyridinium and pyrrolidinium based substances in the last decade (Welton 1999; Earle & Seddon 2000; ...
متن کاملMicellization of long-chain ionic liquids in deep eutectic solvents.
The aggregation behavior of the ionic liquid (IL) 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride with different alkyl chain lengths in a deep eutectic solvent (DES, composed of choline chloride and glycerol in a 1 : 2 mole ratio) was studied for the first time. The critical micellar concentration, micellar size and intermolecular interactions in IL/DES solutions were investigated by different techniques ...
