Microalgae (Chlorella vulgaris and Spirulina platensis) as a Protein Alternative and Their Effects on Productive Performances, Blood Parameters, Protein Digestibility, and Nutritional Value of Laying Hens’ Egg

چکیده
Protein is an essential nutrient for laying hens, playing a crucial role in egg production and supporting their overall health. An 8-week feeding trial was conducted on 120 Lohmann Brown hens (aged 38 weeks). The layers were assigned randomly to three groups housed cages (twenty replicates × two birds/cage). All fed corn–soybean meal basal diet (2750 kcal/kg metabolizable energy (ME) with 17.8% crude protein (CP)). In contrast conventional (CON), the experimental supplemented primarily at expense of soybean 2.0% Chlorella vulgaris (CV2%) Spirulina platensis (SP2%). Their high concentrations chlorophyll (5.56; 9.06 mg/g), b (0.88; 1.34 antioxidant activity expressed as 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (73.29; 81.27 DPPH% inhibition) improved yolk quality. At end trial, eighteen eggs/group (six samples/group, eggs/sample) collected determine quality nutritional parameters (fatty acids profile, cholesterol, β-carotene, color, capacity). To enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH), total capacity (TAC), blood samples period. Microalgae inclusion increased (p < 0.05) fatty acid content, ß-carotene concentration 0.001), 0.0001), color intensity 0.001) significantly, especially redness a* parameter, but without any significant results concerning cholesterol concentration. Boiling eggs 10 min significantly b* parameter microalgae treatments. supplementation hens’ positively influenced properties.

Effects of Dietary Supplementing of Spirulina Platensis and Chlorella Vulgaris Microalgae on Hematologic Parameters in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats
Background: Microalgae are known to have beneficial effects on health. On the other hand, studies have reported negative effects of diabetes on hematological parameters. Effects of Spirulina platensis (SP) and Chlorella vulgaris (CV) microalgae, singly and combined, on hematological parameters in diabetic rats are not still studied. Thus, the present study was conducted to investigate the effec...

In this experiment, a total of 128 Hy-line W36 hens at 63 weeks of age were used. The hens were put at random into 4 treatment groups (4 replicates and 32 hens per treatment) and were fed four different diets: three diets with different levels of Spirulina (1.5, 2.0 and 2.5%) and one control group based on wheat and soybean meal. All birds were housed in commercial cages, had ad libitum access ...

Microalgal proteins are promising sources for functional nutrition and a sustainable candidate for nutraceutical formulations. They also gain importance due to emerging focus on a healthy nutrition and increase in the number of chronic diseases. In this study, dried dietary species of microalga, Chlorella vulgaris, and cyanobacterium Spirulina platensis were hydrolyzed with pancreatin enzyme to...

Isoflavones are phytoestrogens which have estrogen-like activity in animals and humans with structure similar to 17-β-estradiol and capable of binding to estrogen receptors (ERs).This experiment was conducted to demonstrate the effect of isoflavones on estradiol concentration in blood and its influence on the productive performances in ISA Brown laying hens fed with supplemented feed with large...

A ten-week experiment was conducted to study the effect of a nanostructure of phytic acid absorber (NPAA) on the performance and protein digestibility in laying hens. A total of 100 Bovans laying hens were randomly assigned to 5 treatments, with 4 replicates, 5 hens each. The experiment was a completely randomized design with 5 levels of NPAA; including zero (T1, as a basal diet (BD)); T2 (BD+ ...
