This review paper aims to summarize aspects related the biotechnological potential of halophile and halotolerant microbes in sustainable management agricultural practices. During past few years, different microorganisms have been isolated from saline environments (including Romania) characterized for discovery new species their use industrial applications. presents a brief literature review, conducted using various open access scientific databases keywords such as halophilic bacteria/bioinoculants, soils, ecology, novel halophiles, plant growth-promoting salinity stress, salt-tolerant microbes, etc.
