چکیده
Objective: To evaluate the microbiological contamination of sterile (SG) and non-sterile (NSG) gloves before during different stages endodontic treatment. Methodology: Five brands (n = 10 per brand) NSG (Supermax, UniGloves, Lemgruber, Nugard Embramac) four SG (Sensitex, Sanro, Mucambo, Madeitex) were analyzed. Microbiological collections performed at 3 time-points: immediately after opening packages (S1); performing rubber dam placement (S2); end root canal treatment (S3). In group, to assess possible by exposure clinical environment, samples also collected within 24 hours (S4) 7 days (S5) packages. After smearing with swabs, placed in test tubes containing specific BHI culture medium. These incubated for 48h turbidity medium was evaluated. For turbid samples, bacterial identification through biochemical tests. Results: At S1, only UniGloves showed contamination, while no observed SG. S2 S3 all contamination. assessments, 24h packaging brand but this not (S5). The most species Staphylococcus aureus, ssp, intermedius, Neisseria Escherichia coli Pseudomonas aeroginosa.
