Microstructure Characterization Techniques for Shale Reservoirs: A Review

چکیده

The microstructure of shale reservoirs refers to the distribution mineral–organic matter, pore–fracture features, diagenetic processes, and their interrelations. comprehensive accurate analysis plays a critical role in formulating reasonable development plan optimizing measures enhance oil or gas recovery. To explore characterization, mineral organic matter compositions as well pore types distributions organic-rich were investigated using series advanced techniques, including focused ion beam–scanning electron microscopy atomic force microscopy. This review establishes model layered structure based on ideal laminae model. Among them, quartz carbonate can be classified grain clay minerals pyrite combined into aggregate due symbiotic relationship between pyrite, minerals. Microcracks diverse origins together. also systematically summarizes microcharacterization techniques different characteristics reservoirs, thereby paving way for establishment cross-scale characterization techniques.
