چکیده
Tannins are natural polyphenolic compounds widely found in plants. The production of coagulants for water treatment is one their new applications. Polyphenols extraction the first step synthesizing tannin-based coagulants. Eucalyptus globulus bark (EGB), an abundant by-product pulp and paper industry, usually applied as fuel energy production, was used this work a tannin source. polyphenols from EGB studied using solvent. Extraction assays employing different techniques were conducted. Microwave-assisted extraction of polyphenols from Camellia oleifera fruit hull.
The abundant fruit hulls of tea-oil tree (Camellia oleifera) are still underutilized and wastefully discaded to pollute the environment. In order to solve this problem and better utilize the fruit hulls of C. oleifera, a microwave-assisted extraction system was used to extract their polyphenols using water as the extraction solvent. A central composite design (CCD) was used to monitor the effec...
متن کاملSequential ultrasound-microwave assisted extraction as a green method to extract essential oil from Zataria multiflora
Sequential ultrasound-microwave associated extraction (SUMAE) is a combination of ultrasound waves and microwaves energies in which ultrasonic extraction is used as a pretreatment. It was performed to extract essential oil from Zataria multiflora. The extraction conditions were optimized by response surface methodology (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD). The antioxidant and antibacterial ...
متن کاملA Box-Behnken experimental design for microwave assisted extraction optimization of pectin from citron peel
Microwave assisted extraction technique was employed to extract pectin from citron peel. Box-Behnken design was applied to investigate the influence of irradiation time, microwave power and pH on the yield and DE of pectin. The finding indicated that the optimal conditions for the maximum yield of pectin (30.71%) were achieved at irradiation time of 3 min, microwave power of 700 W and pH of 1.5...
متن کاملProduction of Tannin from the Bark of Eucalyptus camadulensis
Tannin is a very versatile industrial material found in many parts of plants such as the bark of Eucalyptus camadulensis (EC). The bark of EC that normally peels off during the dry season has usually served as anxious substrate for pathogens. In the present experiment, tannin was leached from the bark of EC using water as solvent. Tannin produced varied from 5 to 12%. The yield obtained was fou...
متن کاملSequential Microwave-assisted Extraction for Isolation of Quercetin from Red Kidney Bean
Quercetin is a biological flavonoid, which can be found in red kidney bean at high concentration. In this study, a comparison was conducted between traditional and modern extraction methods. Sequential microwave-assisted extraction was used for isolation of quercetin from red kidney bean. The effect of several factors such as particle size of grinded kidney bean, extraction solvent, microwave p...
