چکیده
Aim: The aim of the present study was to mid-term functional outcome assessment early surgical intervention in complex elbow fracture dislocation adults. Methods: conducted Department Orthopaedics, trauma centre, Institute Medical Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, after getting clearance from ethics committee. Patients with a injury (instability or associated fracture), age 18 years 60 years, who were treated surgically between May 2016 and 2021, agreed participate signed free informed consent minimum follow-up 6 months. Results: 34 cases made up group. There 23 male 11 female patients, aged followed for an average 38.56 months (range 5 years) clinically radiologically, retro prospectively, prospectively evaluated. dominant side involved 24 patients non-dominant other 10 patients. According Mason's classification, 44.1% type 3 by 2 (32.4%) 1 (14.7%). Regan- Moore's 23.5% 3. Mean flexion-extension arc mean supination-pronation excised 115.63 degrees 101.25 radical group 132.75 121.2 coronoid 26-35 116.5 97.5 120.42 107.92 no malunion, infection, ulnar neuropathy neural deficit observed. Mild pain 47.1% cases. Conclusion: Although our number duration are less than many studies, we have achieved comparable results view both subjective objective parameters such as flexion-extension, supination-pronation, Q-DASH score, MEPI score.

the aim of this study was to assess different surgical approaches of supracondylar fracture in 31 children.the surgical approches consisted of anteromedial (16 cases),posterior (13 cases) and anterolateral (2 cases). the rate of persistent complications was higher in the posterior approach.the most common complication eas soft tissue atrophy in posterior of elbow (69%) followed by limitation of...
متن کاملA Rare Combination of Complex Elbow Dislocation and Distal Radial Fracture in Adults
Although it is common for separate elbow joint dislocation and fracture of forearm bones to occur, it is a rare sighting for both elbow dislocation and ipsilateral fracture of the distal radius. We report a case of an anterior dislocation of the elbow with ipsilateral fracture of the distal radius. The case was treated operatively. We describe two possible mechanisms of injury for these rare in...
متن کاملComplex elbow instability: surgical management of elbow fracture dislocations
There are three main patterns of complex elbow instability: posterolateral (terrible triad), varus posteromedial (anteromedial coronoid fracture with lateral collateral ligament complex disruption), and trans-olecranon fracture dislocations.Radial head fractures, in the setting of complex elbow instability, often require internal fixation or arthroplasty; the outcome of radial head replacement ...
متن کاملFracture-dislocation of the elbow functional outcome following treatment with a standardized protocol.
Fracture-dislocation of the elbow is a signiicant injury with mixed outcomes. The purpose of the study was to evaluate patient perceived outcome following surgical stabilization of these complex injuries. Twenty-nine available patients (76%) from 37 identiied with "terrible triad" injury patterns, in- cluding ulnohumeral dislocation, radial head fracture, and coronoid fracture, were available f...
متن کاملElbow dislocation with bicondylar humeral fracture in an adult: a unique type of injury
Simultaneous fracture of lateral condyle and medial epicondyle of humerus along with elbow dislocation is very rare injury in adults. Only a few cases have been reported in literature in pediatric age groups. The authors describe a case report of fracture of lateral condyle and medial epicondyle of humerus along with elbow dislocation in a young adult. The patient sustained injury in the form o...
