Minimum eigenvalue based adaptive fault compensation for hypersonic vehicles

نویسندگان

چکیده

The attitude tracking control problem is addressed for hypersonic vehicles under actuator faults that may cause an uncertain time-varying gain matrix. An adaptive compensation scheme developed to ensure system stability and asymptotic properties, including a kinematic signal dynamic signal. To deal with the uncertainties of matrix, new positive definite one constructed. minimum eigenvalue such matrix estimated. Simulation results application X-33 vehicle model verify effectiveness proposed based fault scheme.

Adaptive Guidance and Control for Autonomous Hypersonic Vehicles

Guidance and control technology is recognized as an important aspect of the military, civil, and commercial goal of reliable, low-cost, aircraft-type operations into space. Here, several guidance and control methods are extended to enable integration into a single fully adaptive guidance and control system that offers a high degree of mission flexibility, fault tolerance, and autonomy. This pap...

Non-certainty equivalence adaptive tracking control for hypersonic vehicles

The design of a novel non-certainty equivalence adaptive control system for hypersonic vehicles is presented, based on the immersion and invariance (I&I) theory. The interest here is to achieve a robust trajectory tracking of the reference commands in spite of large parameter uncertainties. The architecture of the whole control system is constructed by decomposing the vehicle model into the vel...

Adaptive Guidance Systems for Hypersonic Reusable Launch Vehicles

1 0-7803-6599-2/01/$10.00 © 2001 IEEE. Abstract— This paper presents an adaptive guidance system approach applied to hypersonic Reusable Launch Vehicles (RLVs). After an effector failure, it is assumed that the inner-closed-loop system utilizes a reconfigurable control algorithm to recover nominal maneuvering capabilities to the extent possible. However, nominal performance will typically not b...

Adaptive Output Feedback Based on Closed-Loop Reference Models for Hypersonic Vehicles

This paper presents a new method of synthesizing an output feedback adaptive controller for a class of uncertain, non-square, multi-input multi-output systems that often occur in hypersonic vehicle models. The main challenge that needs to be addressed is the determination of a corresponding square and strictly positive real transfer function. This paper proposes a new procedure to synthesize tw...

Boundary Layer Control for Hypersonic Airbreathing Vehicles

Active and passive methods for tripping hypersonic boundary layers have been examined in NASA Langley Research Center wind tunnels using a Hyper-X model. This investigation assessed several concepts for forcing transition, including passive discrete roughness elements and active mass addition (or blowing), in the 20-Inch Mach 6 Air and the 31-Inch Mach 10 Air Tunnels. Heat transfer distribution...
