Misconception Analysis of Cell Material Using Four-Tier Multiple Choice Diagnostic Test

The purpose of students learning biology is to understand the concepts in biology, be able connect one concept another, and apply learned daily life. Inability properly may cause misconceptions that will affect students' achievement. Therefore, this study analyze on topic cells using a four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. research method used development. subjects were 36 class XI science at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Rancaekek. results developing test content validity ratio (CVR) produced CVR value 0.75 (CVR ≥ 0.672) index (CVI) 0.87 so developed was feasible use. analysis experienced by showed chemical components making up 10.42%, cell structure function 13.89%, differences between animal plant 17.36%, bio-processes 11.81%. Overall, regarding material 12.78% (misconceptions > 10%), which means misconception considered significant.
