Mitigation of the Factors Affecting the Autogenous Shrinkage of Ultra-High Performance Concrete

چکیده
Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) is a new generation of concrete characterized by its high strength, durability, and stiffness. Autogenously shrinkage represents one the issues UHPC that occurred at early ages. It occurs particularly during first 48 hours after casting. This paper focuses on ways can be depended to mitigate autogenously obtain outstanding mechanical properties UHPC. The results showed use coarse sand dose range water reduced admixture above 5% cementations materials weight, ambient temperature time mixing casting led increasing shrinkage. While using fine sand, silica fume 25% cement crushed ice 50% control reduce significantly.

Evaluation of Autogenous Shrinkage in High-Performance Concrete
Recent tendencies in concrete technology have been towards to high- performance concrete with a low water-cement ratio. However, high performance concretes have some problems. One of the problems is early-age cracking due to autogenous shrinkage. This study presents the results of an experimental investigation carried out to evaluate the autogenous shrinkage of high-strength concrete. Accordi...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

متن کاملThe Importance of the Factors Affecting Concrete Shrinkage
The loss of water from hardened concrete (stored in unsaturated air) causes drying shrinkage. Shrinkage of hardened concrete is influenced by various factors in a similar manner to creep under drying conditions. High cementitious materials content, particularly fine particles will reduce bleeding, but increase long term drying shrinkage. (The time of sawing the joints for induced cracking is no...

abstract although music possesses some kind of power and using it has been welcome by many students in language classrooms, it seems that they take a non-serious image of the lesson while listening to songs and they may think that it is a matter of fun. the main objective of the present study was to investigate whether learning a foreign language through musical texts (songs) can have an impac...
