Mixed reality in design prototyping: A systematic review

The integration of virtual and physical workflow is a major ongoing trend in engineering, with substantial potential for benefit during design development stages. Within this trend, the emerging field Mixed Reality technologies provide capability to couple realms prototyping. Applications date remain ad-hoc however, little clarity breadth benefits afforded by Reality. Through systematic review 108 publications, paper presents classification technology prototyping, process, designers. This elicits characterises five evidence-based dimensions value.
