چکیده
The Shanker distribution, a one-parameter lifetime distribution with an increasing hazard rate function, is recommended by for modelling lifespan data. In this study, we examine the theoretical and practical implications of 2-component mixture model (2-CMSM). A significant feature proposed model’s function that it has rising, decreasing, upside-down bathtub forms. We investigate statistical characteristics mixed model, such as probability-generating factorial-moment-generating cumulants, characteristic Mills ratio, mean residual life, time to failure. There graphic representation density, mean, functions, coefficient variation, skewness, kurtosis. Our final approach estimate parameters using appropriate approaches maximum likelihood, least squares, weighted squares. Using simulation analysis, examined how estimates behaved graphically. results demonstrated that, in majority cases, likelihood have smallest square errors among all other estimates. Finally, observed when sample size rises, precision measures decrease estimation techniques, indicating are consistent. Through two real data analyses, suggested validity adaptability contrasted those models, including exponential distributions Lindley .

Statistical Wavelet-based Image Denoising using Scale Mixture of Normal Distributions with Adaptive Parameter Estimation
Removing noise from images is a challenging problem in digital image processing. This paper presents an image denoising method based on a maximum a posteriori (MAP) density function estimator, which is implemented in the wavelet domain because of its energy compaction property. The performance of the MAP estimator depends on the proposed model for noise-free wavelet coefficients. Thus in the wa...

متن کاملMixture of two inverse Weibull distributions: Properties and estimation
The mixture model of two InverseWeibull distributions (MTIWD) is investigated. First, some properties of the model with some graphs of the density and hazard function are discussed. Next, the identifiability property of the MTIWD is proved. In addition, the estimates of the unknown parameters via the EM Algorithm are obtained. The performance of the findings in the paper is showed by demonstrat...
متن کاملThe Family of Scale-Mixture of Skew-Normal Distributions and Its Application in Bayesian Nonlinear Regression Models
In previous studies on fitting non-linear regression models with the symmetric structure the normality is usually assumed in the analysis of data. This choice may be inappropriate when the distribution of residual terms is asymmetric. Recently, the family of scale-mixture of skew-normal distributions is the main concern of many researchers. This family includes several skewed and heavy-tailed d...
متن کاملBias in Estimation of a Mixture of Normal Distributions
Estimating parameters in a mixture of normal distributions dates back to the 19th century when Pearson originally considered data of crabs from the Bay of Naples. Since then, many real world applications of mixtures have led to various proposed methods for studying similar problems. Among them, maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) and the continuous empirical characteristic function (CECF) metho...
