چکیده

The finite element method (FEM) is commonly used in modeling the electromagnetic field of transformers with high accuracy; however, computation time FEM prohibitively for real-time simulation due to model order. Reducing order helpful improve computational efficiency FEM. proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) an efficient reduce linear but encounters difficulties nonlinear models. In this paper, a reduction (MOR) based on combination POD and transmission-line (TLM) proposed time. TLM separate components from model, then domain model. obtained by can be solved parallel programmable gate array (FPGA) further. This paper has studied transient states three-phase transformer current excitation field-circuit coupling. hardware emulation results are validated offline using Comsol®.

FPGA-Based Real-Time Digital Simulation

1 – This paper is an effort to develop an FPGAbased real-time digital simulator. FPGA is used instead of parallel processors to simulate electromagnetic transients in power systems. A sample single-phase test systems was used to examine the principle. The mathematical model for the power system under consideration is implemented and simulated using Xilinx ISE 4.2 software and ModelSim simulator.

Model Order Reduction for Large Scale Finite Element Engineering Models

Software MOR for ANSYS has been developed at IMTEK in 2003. It allows us to perform model reduction directly to finite element models developed in ANSYS. The goal of the present paper is to describe progress achieved for the last two years and review our publications with application of MOR for ANSYS to various engineering problems for different domains: heat transfer, structural mechanics, the...

Toward transient finite element simulation of thermal deformation of machine tools in real-time

Finite element models without simplifying assumptions can accurately describe the spatial and temporal distribution of heat in machine tools as well as the resulting deformation. In principle, this allows to correct for displacements of the Tool Centre Point and enables high precision manufacturing. However, the computational cost of FEM models and restriction to generic algorithms in commercia...
