Modeling and Simulation of Upstream and Downstream Processes for Monoclonal Antibody Production

چکیده

We present a numerical case study for modeling and simulation of upstream downstream processes monoclonal antibody (mAb) production. apply systematic intuitive methodology an existing process process. The resulting models are based on differential mass balances kinetic expressions the reactions adsorption. Mass fedbatch reactor yield model consisting five ordinary equations (ODEs). is conducted batchwise in chromatographic column capture mAbs. system partial (PDEs). applies nonlinear shrinking core adsorption isotherm transition between mobile phase stationary phase. high-order spectral nodal continuous Galerkin scheme spatial discretization column, which result semi-discrete ODE formulation. model, coupling mAb production, can be used as benchmark estimation, control optimization studies.
