Modeling Forest Tree Data Using Sequential Spatial Point Processes

چکیده
Abstract The spatial structure of a forest stand is typically modeled by point process models. Motivated aerial inventories and dynamics in general, we propose sequential approach for modeling data. Such an better justified than static model describing the long-term dependence among location trees locations detected inventories. Tree size can be used as surrogate unknown tree age when determining order which have emerged or are observed on image. Sequential processes differ from that realizations ordered sequences locations, thus allowing us to approximate phenomena under study. This feature useful interpreting history trees. For application, use data set collected Kiihtelysvaara region Eastern Finland.

Interferometric forest height for modeling spatial tree patterns in Amazonia
The spatial distribution of very large trees in primary Amazon forest is extracted from a digital model of interferometric forest height by an approach of local maximum filtering. The spatial point patterns of very large trees are modeled by a series of Markov point process models. Spatial distribution is regular, and interaction decreases with distance; very large trees are shown to exert repu...
متن کاملForest Stand Types Classification Using Tree-Based Algorithms and SPOT-HRG Data
Forest types mapping, is one of the most necessary elements in the forest management and silviculture treatments. Traditional methods such as field surveys are almost time-consuming and cost-intensive. Improvements in remote sensing data sources and classification –estimation methods are preparing new opportunities for obtaining more accurate forest biophysical attributes maps. This research co...

Property (iv) is called boundedly finite. So, when we use (iv) instead of (iii), we are interested in simple, boundedly finite spatial point processes with no fixed atoms. When we use (iii), the domain A can be an arbitrary set. When we use (iv), the domain A must have some notion of boundedness. This is no problem when A is a subset of Rd for some d. We just use the usual notion of boundedness...
