چکیده
Abortion is the major reproductive problem in goats faced by goat-keepers. animals including caused mainly infectious agents. The current study was planned to assess presence of Brucella melitensis, Chlamydophila spp., Campylobacter abortus and Coxiella burnetii genital tracts foetal stomach contents. A total 260 biological samples (vaginal/preputial secretions contents) were randomly collected from goats. genomic DNA extraction done using commercial kit. detection targeted agents species as well genus-specific polymerase chain reactions. Standardization PCRs gradient PCR. PCR products run a 1% agarose gel determine gene size. Out samples, not detected any sample. two aborted Only 10 out (6 vaginal swabs 4 found positive for melitensis. 117 whereas 84 spp. 63 both present concludes that prevalent microbial agents, which may be associated with abortion forthcoming pregnancies adverse conditions.

Background: Classical bacteriological detection of Brucella species from food, and environment is routinely carried out based on morphological and biochemical characteristics. However, for increasing specificity and sensitivity of species identification methods, development of a molecular assay is necessary that was main aim of this study. Methods: Panel of some reference strains belonging to ...
متن کاملReal-time multiplex PCR assay for detection of Brucella spp., B. abortus, and B. melitensis.
The identification of Brucella can be a time-consuming and labor-intensive process that places personnel at risk for laboratory-acquired infection. Here, we describe a real-time PCR assay for confirmation of presumptive Brucella isolates. The assay was designed in a multiplex format that will allow the rapid identification of Brucella spp., B. abortus, and B. melitensis in a single test.

Brucella melitensis and Brucella abortus are of the most important causes of brucellosis, an infectious disease which is transmitted either directly or indirectly including consuming unpasteurized dairy products. Both strains are considered endemic in Iran. Common diagnostic methods such as bacteriologic cultures are difficult and time consuming regarding the bacteria. The aim of this study w...

Abortion in sheep and goats causes enormous economic losses. This study revealed the epidemiology of abortion caused by Brucella melitensis, Coxiella burnetii and Salmonella abortusovis in Baluchi sheep in Sistan region. In the autumn of 2015 and winter of 2016, a total of 78 aborted sheep fetuses were collected from all over the Sistan region. Risk factors, including location of livestock, his...
