چکیده
We present measurements of molecular transition frequencies based on the comb-locked cavity ring-down spectroscopy technique, reporting vacuum Doppler-broadened 12C16O2 in 1.6 ?m region for (30012) ? (00001) and (30013) bands with an average combined standard uncertainty ? 1 kHz. A global four-state model was fit to these data literature values provide spectroscopic parameters a best-case precision 4 identified quantified interaction between (33301) states which manifest as observed Fermi-resonance-type perturbation band. This accounted fit, substantially reducing systematic uncertainties state altering many predicted band by MHz or more relative values. The accurate reported here may be considered SI-traceable reference diverse applications including remote sensing telecommunications.

Upconversion detection near 2 μm at the single photon level.
We have demonstrated upconversion detection at the single photon level in the 2 μm spectral window using a pump wavelength near 1550 nm, a periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) waveguide, and a volume Bragg grating (VBG) to reduce noise. We achieve a system photon detection efficiency of 10%, with a noise count rate of 24,500 counts per second, competitive with other 2 μm single photon dete...
متن کاملCloud Remote Sensing Using Midwave IR CO2 and N2O Slicing Channels near 4.5 μm
Narrow channels located in the longwave IR CO2 absorption region between approximately 13.2 and 14.5 μm, the well known CO2 slicing channels, have been proven to be quite effective for the estimates of cloud heights and effective cloud amounts as well as atmospheric temperature profiles. The designs of some of the near-future multi-channel earth observing satellite sensors cannot accommodate th...
متن کاملThe distribution of kHz QPO frequencies in bright LMXBs
We analyzed all published frequencies, ν1 and ν2, of the twin kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) in bright neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries. The two frequencies are well correlated but, contrary to recent suggestions, the frequency-frequency correlation is significantly different from a ν2 = (3/2)ν1 relation. To check whether, although not following the the 3/2 relation, the Q...
متن کاملThe Distribution of Khz Qpo Frequencies in Sco X-1
The frequencies of kHz Quasi-Periodic Oscillations in the bright Low-Mass Xray Binary Sco X-1 have been reported to appear preferentially in a 3:2 ratio. We show that a proper statistical analysis of those RXTE data upon which the claim is based indicated a 2.4σ deviation from a constant distribution in ratios. The analysis of a much larger RXTE/PCA dataset shows that there is no sharp concentr...
متن کاملThe correlations between the twin kHz QPO frequencies of LMXBs
We analyzed the recently published kHz QPO data in the neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs), in order to investigate the different correlations of the twin peak kilohertz quasi-periodic oscillations (kHz QPOs) in bright Z sources and in the less luminous Atoll sources. We find that a power-law relation ν1 ∼ ν 2 between the upper and the lower kHz QPOs with different indices: b ≃1.5 for ...
