چکیده
To explore the effect of monosialotetrahexosylganglioside sodium on cortical neurogenesis in traumatic brain injury rats. Thirty Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly divided into control group, saline group and group. The model was prepared with hydraulic controllable device received sham operation. levels oxidative stress, nerve damage, new born neurons, learning memory capabilities assessed serum malondialdehyde superoxide dismutase levels, neurofilament light level terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling, neuronal nuclear protein/ bromodeoxyuridine cells Morris water maze respectively. The Effects of Cyclooxygenase Inhibitors on the Brain Inflammatory Response Following Traumatic Brain Injury in Rats
Objective(s) Cytokines such as IL-1β are involved in inflammatory responses. This study evaluated the role of two different kinds of drugs (ibuprofen and celecoxib) on brain IL-10 and IL-1β after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in male rats. Materials and Methods Rats were assigned into 6 groups: intact, sham, TBI, and treated rats with vehicle, celecoxib or iboprophen. Cytokine concentrations ...
متن کاملBrain cooling-stimulated angiogenesis and neurogenesis attenuated traumatic brain injury in rats.
BACKGROUND Although brain cooling has been reported to be effective in improving the outcome after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rats, the mechanisms of brain cooling-induced neuroprotective actions remain unclear. This study was to test whether angiogenesis and neurogenesis attenuating TBI could be brain cooling stimulated. METHODS Anesthetized rats, immediately after the onset of TBI, wer...
متن کاملP108: Microglia in Traumatic Brain Injury
Microglia is one of the first innate immune components. These cells account about 5 to 10% of the entire adult brain cells and are activated by trauma. Complex-mediated inflammatory responses occur through cellular and molecular events during and after the traumatic brain injury (TBI). In-lesion area astrocytes, microglia, and damaged neurons begin to secrete cytokines and chemokines. Microglia...
