Morphological changes analysis using 3D bathymetric surveys in Chilia Branch - Bystroe Channel bifurcation area

چکیده

Abstract The Bystroe Channel project with transboundary environmental impact in the Danube Delta, area of great ecological significance that has already a strong anthropic footprint, requires close monitoring water quality parameters order to determine their tendencies and on ecosystem components. Riverbed bathymetry surveys using multibeam echo-sounders are high interest due data resolution coverage capabilities surpass single-beam methods. Two riverbed elevation datasets, recorded consecutive years, have been used carry out morphological comparative analysis for where Chilia branch bifurcates Old Stambul. performed both grids as whole 3 longitudinal 9 transversal river sections, changes values being majority included [-0.5 m;+0.5 m], minimum -2.4 m maximum 2.2 m, showing bifurcation influence erosion/deposition processes results.

Morphological, bathymetric and sedimentological surveys used to assess the coastline defensive measures

This paper outlines the results of a study recently carried out on the western coast of the Sestri Levante peninsula (Eastern Liguria Italy), aiming to assess the effects of newly accomplished defensive measures against coastal erosion: the accretion of the beach with natural sand and its protection with artificial structures orthogonal and parallel to the shoreline. Through conventional and mo...

Integrating Sensors into a Marine Drone for Bathymetric 3D Surveys in Shallow Waters

This paper demonstrates that accurate data concerning bathymetry as well as environmental conditions in shallow waters can be acquired using sensors that are integrated into the same marine vehicle. An open prototype of an unmanned surface vessel (USV) named MicroVeGA is described. The focus is on the main instruments installed on-board: a differential Global Position System (GPS) system and si...

Applying Hydrological Thresholds To Wetland Management For Waterbirds, Using Bathymetric Surveys And GIS

The Lake Warden wetland system (LWWS), on the south coast of Western Australia (WA), is a wetland of international importance for waterbirds. It occurs at the bottom of a heavily cleared agricultural catchment. Rising water levels associated with clearing have been identified as a threat to waterbird diversity. Different species of waterbird are typically found in specific ranges of water depth...

An analysis of morphological changes

NMDA receptor subunit changes have an important implication in synaptic development, learning, memory, and neuronal disorders. Previous studies have suggested that two membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family scaffolding proteins, SAP102 and PSD-95, are involved in the switch from predominance of NMDA receptors rich in NR2B subunits to that of NMDA receptors rich in NR2A subunits. No...
