Moving from service to sustainable services: a healthcare case study

Purpose Worldwide, healthcare systems struggle to sustain the delivery of services at a time increasing demand, limited resources and growing expectations from users, coupled with dealing aftermath Covid-19 pandemic threat other outbreaks. There has never been more important innovation improvements. Using an illustrative case, authors assess application two existing frameworks identify key propositions dimensions required deliver sustainable services. Design/methodology/approach This case study focuses on service provided by chronic disease, multidisciplinary community team in UK. Experienced-based interviews were conducted health professionals, patients relatives provide rich account care pathway design. A high-level process map is used visualise touch points.
