چکیده

IntroductionSeveral different surgical options are available to address cartilage lesions. Lately, autologous minced procedure has been gaining in popularity as a chondrocyte based, simple, single-staged and cost-effective technique.ObjectiveThe aim of this review is provide an overview the current evidence supporting single-stage repair with focus on technique implantation.ResultsTo date only limited exists for single staged, procedure. In vitro animal studies show induction de novo production extracellular matrix, outgrowth, proliferation, differentiation encouraging tissue generation. Biological, histological immunohistological data seem comparable 2-stage implantation. Preliminary, short-term clinical indicate good functional results low complication revision rates. Clinical outcomes short term those resulting from implantation .ConclusionSingle-stage simple effective option. This strong biologic, economic potential. More high-level, long-term comparative trials larger patient cohorts needed allow comparison other techniques determine implant durability.

Spontaneous Minced Cartilage Procedure for Unexpectedly Large Femoral Condyle Surface Defect

Articular cartilage defects at the knee joint are being identified and treated with increasing frequency. Chondrocytes may have strongest potential to generate high-quality repair tissue within the defective region, in particular when large diameter defects are present. Autologous chondrocyte implantation is not available in every country. We present a case where we spontaneously covered an acu...

Minced cartilage without cell culture serves as an effective intraoperative cell source for cartilage repair.

Traumatic articular cartilage injuries heal poorly and may predispose patients to the early onset of osteoarthritis. One current treatment relies on surgical delivery of autologous chondrocytes that are prepared, prior to implantation, through ex vivo cell expansion of cartilage biopsy cells. The requirement for cell expansion, however, is both complex and expensive and has proven to be a major...

Minced articular cartilage--basic science, surgical technique, and clinical application.

Minced articular cartilage procedures are attractive surgical approaches for repairing articular cartilage, as they are 1-staged, autologous, and inserted on a carrier that can potentially be placed arthroscopically. The principle of mincing the autologous donor cartilage is to create a larger surface area for cartilage expansion. Placement on a scaffold carrier allows for a chondro-inductive a...

Autologous collagen-induced chondrogenesis: single-stage arthroscopic cartilage repair technique.

Autologous collagen-induced chondrogenesis is a novel, single-staged arthroscopic cartilage repair technique using microdrilling and atelocollagen or fibrin gel application under carbon dioxide insufflation. Atelocollagen is a highly purified type I collagen obtained following the treatment of skin dermis with pepsin and telopeptide removal, making it nonimmunogenic. In this procedure, atelocol...

Arthroscopic cartilage regeneration facilitating procedure for osteoarthritic knee

BACKGROUND The effectiveness of arthroscopic treatment for osteoarthritic knee is a controversy. This study presents the technique of a novel concept of arthroscopic procedure and investigates its clinical outcome. METHOD An arthroscopic procedure targeted on elimination of focal abrasion phenomenon and regaining soft tissue balance around patello-femoral joint was applied to treat osteoarthr...
