چکیده
This paper presents the implementation for first time of a Multi-Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO) algorithm in tuning PID controller Power Factor Correction (PFC), applied to 100W AC-DC boost converter. MPSO navigates search space where each dimension corresponds constants (Proportional, Integral, Derivative and Filter), prioritizing communication over exploration algorithm. The parameters are randomly initialized reduced sector [Kp,Ki,Kd,Kn], optimize solution. In step, is validated using simulation model Simulink Matlab. Subsequently, final real converter implemented with tuned by MPSO, improving PFC obtained previous work. Although works have used evolutionary algorithms heuristic optimization tunning controllers, not usually this purpose, particularly power electronics system. One advantage PSO classical at different points if vectorial field looks an optimal problems such as getting stuck locally trained offline, allowing risk damage Boost transitory response, increasing performance research opens possibility use extended version bioinspired tune offline controllers improve converter's performance, minimizing presented real-time process.

Modified Bi-directional AC/DC Power Converter with Power Factor Correction
Most existing power converters and industrial motor drive systems draw non-sinusoidal currents from the supply. Non-sinusoidal currents contained harm harmonics disturb the power supply which it causes serious concern for reliability. Other equipments that use the same power supply are adversely affected. This paper suggests the operation and performance of a new modified AC/DC converter that ...
متن کاملBoost Converter for Power Factor Correction of DC Motor Drive
With the increasing demand for power from the ac line and more stringent limits for power quality, power factor correction has gained great attention in recent years. A variety of circuit topologies and control methods have been developed for the PFC application. While the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) converters such as boost and flyback converters are well suited for low power applicati...
متن کاملGeneralized Average-current-mode Control of Single-phase Ac-dc Boost Converters with Power Factor Correction
The dissertation presents a generalized average-current-mode control technique (GACMC), which is an extension of the average-current-mode control (ACMC) for single-phase ac-dc boost converters with power factor correction (PFC). Traditional ACMC is generalized in a sense that it offers improved performance in the form of significant reduction of the current control loop bandwidth requirement fo...
متن کاملNonlinear Control of Boost Ac/dc Converters Output Voltage Regulation and Power Factor Correction
We are considering the problem of controlling AC/DC switched power converters of the Boost type. The control objectives are twofold: (i) regulating the output voltage to a desired reference value, (ii) assuring a unitary power factor by enforcing the voltage and the current delivred by the electric network to be in phase. The considered problem is dealt with by designing a nonlinear controller ...
