چکیده

Expectations and challenges of modern sustainable engineering architecture stimulate intensive development structural analysis design techniques. Designing durable, light eco-friendly constructions starts at the conceptual stage, where new efficient optimization tools need to be implemented. Innovative methods, like topology optimization, become more often a daily practice engineers architects in process solving demanding up-to-date problems efficiently. Topology is dynamically developing research area with numerous applications many fields, ranging from mechanical industry, through civil architecture. The motivation behind present study make an attempt broaden by presenting original approach regarding implementation multi-domain multi-material strengthening/retrofitting structures. Moreover, design-dependent self-weight loading into model taken account as significantly important issue, since it influences final results process, especially when considering massive As tool, heuristic algorithm based on Cellular Automata concept utilized.

investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances

Design of thermoelastic multi-material structures with graded interfaces using topology optimization

A level set based shape and topology optimization framework is used to study the effect of graded interfaces in the optimization process of micro-architectured multi-materials. In contrast to previous studies interfaces are considered as smooth transition between phases instead of a sharp delimitation between two phases. A study on extreme thermoelastic properties of 2D isotropic composites is ...

Multi-material phase field approach to structural topology optimization

Multi-material structural topology and shape optimization problems are formulated within a phase field approach. First-order conditions are stated and the relation of the necessary conditions to classical shape derivatives are discussed. An efficient numerical method based on an H–gradient projection method is introduced and finally several numerical results demonstrate the applicability of the...

A Pareto-optimal Approach to Multi-material Topology Optimization

As additive manufacturing expands into multi-material, there is a demand for efficient multi-material topology optimization, where one must simultaneously optimize the topology, and the distribution of various materials within the topology. The classic approach to multi-material optimization is to minimize compliance or stress while imposing two sets of constraints: (1) a total volume constrain...
