چکیده

In this study, a 3 mm thickness of AlSi10Mg Casted alloy plates was used in the friction stir welding process. The experimentations were conducted Using design experiment to shorten number experiments and get optimal parameters by utilizing Gray relational analysis based on ultimate tensile hardness test results. Orthogonal array L9 (33) three main stages for each parameter, where tool velocity are 800, 900 1000 Rpm, feed 30,40,50 mm/min, plus axial load 300,400 500 Kg. Minitab 17 software. Relational is explore set process variables their effects strength weld plates. effectively welded, measured at room temperature. end result shows that rpm, 50 / min, then 400 kg dominant join

Reliability-Based Robust Multi-Objective Optimization of Friction Stir Welding Lap Joint AA1100 Plates

The current paper presents a robust optimum design of friction stir welding (FSW) lap joint AA1100 aluminum alloy sheets using Monte Carlo simulation, NSGA-II and neural network. First, to find the relation between the inputs and outputs a perceptron neural network model was obtained. In this way, results of thirty friction stir welding tests are used for training and testing the neural network...

Welding Parameter Optimization of Alloy Material by Friction Stir Welding using Taguchi Approach

Friction stir welding is used as a solid state joining process for soft materials such as aluminium alloys and also for hard materials like steels. It avoids many of the common problems obtained in fusion welding. In mechanical, civil, automobile, naval, and aeronautical engineering beams are widely used of the magnesium alloys for different applications and that are joined by conventional iner...

Using Gray Relational Analysis and Taguchi Technique in Solving Multi-objective Problems for Turning Operation of Austenitic Stainless Steel

In this study, the application of gray relational analysis (GRA) and Taguchi method in multi-criteria process parameters selection of turning operation has been investigated. The process responses under study are material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness (SR); in turn, the input parameters include cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut and nose radius of the cutting tool. The proposed a...

Analysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...

Optimization of the parameters of low-carbon steel (EN10130) welding using friction stir welding method

Friction-stir welding process is a novel method of solid state welding, which produces heat due to friction between the pin, the shoulder and the workpiece. This heat causes a paste area. Shoulder pressure and pin spin cause edges integration and lead to welding. In this study, firstly, the feasibility of welding of steel sheet (EN10130) with a thickness of 1.5mm has been tested by 58 experim...
