Multi-parametric flowability classification of self-compacting concrete containing sustainable raw materials: An approach to real applications

چکیده
Adding sustainable raw materials to Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) modifies its flowability behavior. Furthermore, the use of these may at same time even improve one fresh property while worsening another. An accurate description SCC containing therefore requires a multi-parametric classification that simultaneously covers all properties (slump flow, viscosity, and blocking ratio) for an potential applications. Existing classifications consider each independently. In this paper, is proposed. The effects multiple on are compiled in dataset serving as knowledge base with information 663 mixes aggregates binders. statistical analysis led definition three types zones. Firstly, overall-flowability zones, which described absolute terms: better in-fresh properties, zone. Secondly, flowability-balance zones reflect balance between free flow slump-flow viscosity) around obstacles (V-funnel emptying L-box ratio). Finally, classified within flowability-predominance define main characteristic flowability, rate (viscosity) or uniformity (spreading). variability effect material makes useful, so far it offers complete picture behavior considered. based proposed overall obstacles, application fields defined mix recommended.

Properties of Self-compacting Concrete – an Overview
Self-compacting concrete can be defined as the concrete which requires no vibrations and can flow around obstructions, encloses the reinforcement and fills up the formwork completely under its self weight. Over the last ten years, significant amount of work has been carried out on self-compacting concrete all over the world. In countries like Japan, Sweden, Thailand, UK etc., the knowledge of S...

Recycling is a logical option for materials that are not suitable for composting. One of these materials is iron mines waste that, according to their compounds, can be used as a substitute part of cement in concrete. For this aim, rheological and mechanical properties and durability of light weight self-compacting concrete (LWSCC) containing Sirjan iron mine waste (SIMW) as partial substitute o...
