A Microcomputer-Based Simulator for Digital Control Systems
A microcomputer-based simulator for digital control systems is proposed. The proposed simulator is a hybrid system in which the plant is simulated by conventional method of analog computers and other parts of the system including generation of input signal is performed digitally, using a Z-80 based microcomputer. To overcome the difficulty of programming in assembly language, and at the same ti...
متن کاملMicrocomputer-Based Programs for Pharmacokinetic Simulations
A computer software package has been developed to simulate drug concentration-time profiles based on differential equations that describe 1, 2 and 3 compartment body models (CBM) with linear or nonlinear elimination. Since drug concentration-time data evaluation is an integral part of pharmacokinetics, simulation of the corresponding drug concentration-time profile is a valuable tool to underst...
متن کاملRepeated measures with zeros.
Consider repeated measures data with many zeros. For the case with one grouping factor and one repeated measure, we examine several models, assuming that the nonzero data are roughly lognormal. One of the simplest approaches is to model the zeros as left-censored observations from the lognormal distribution. A random effect is assumed for subjects. The censored model makes a strong assumption a...
متن کاملANOVAs and SPM
This note describes ANOVAs and how they can be implemented in SPM. For each type of ANOVA we show what are the relevant statistical models and how they can be implemented in a GLM. We give examples of how main effects and interactions can be tested for using F-contrasts in SPM. We also show how to implement a repeated-measures M-way ANOVA with partitioned errors using a two-level procedure in SPM.
متن کاملRepeated Measures
Repeated measures refer to the observations taken on the same subject (plant, animal, person, etc). There is usually a variation among the subjects, which is modeled by random effects. Here is an example. A completely randomized design with a single factor (with fertilizer or without). Each treatment is applied to three plants and the root length of each plant is measured on five occasions (wee...
