Multiphysics Structured Eddy Current and Thermography Defects Diagnostics System in Moving Mode

Eddy current testing (ET) and eddy thermography (ECT) are both important nondestructive methods that have been widely used in the field of conductive materials evaluation. Conventional ECT systems often employed to test static specimens even though they inefficient when specimen is large. In addition, requirement high-power excitation sources tends result bulky detection systems. To mitigate these problems, this article, a moving mode multiphysics structured ET proposed which novel L-shape ferrite magnetic yoke circumambulated with array coils designed. The theoretical derivation model method developed shown improve efficiency without compromising by ECT. can be speedily evaluated scanning at speed 50-250 mm/s while reducing power due supplement ET. unique design excitation-receiving structure has also enhanced detectability omnidirectional cracks. Moreover, it does not block normal direction visual capture specimens. Both numerical simulations experimental studies on different defects carried out obtained results reliability system.
