Multiple Unmanned-Aerial-Vehicles Deployment and User Pairing for Nonorthogonal Multiple Access Schemes

چکیده

Nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) significantly improves the connectivity opportunities and enhances spectrum efficiency (SE) in fifth generation beyond (B5G) wireless communications. Meanwhile, emerging B5G services demand for higher SE NOMA-based However, traditional ground-to-ground (G2G) communications are hard to satisfy these demands, especially cellular uplinks. To solve challenges, this article proposes a unmanned-aerial-vehicles (UAVs)-aided uplink NOMA method. In detail, hovering UAVs relay data half of ground users (GUs) share spectrums with other GUs that communicate base station (BS) directly. Furthermore, K-means clustering-based UAV deployment scheme location-based user pairing (UP) optimize transceiver association UAVs-aided Finally, sum power minimization-based resource allocation problem is formulated lowest Quality-of-Service (QoS) constraints. We it message-passing algorithm evaluate superior performances proposed scheduling paring schemes on energy (EE). Extensive simulations conducted compare those single UAV-aided uplinks, G2G-based uplinks facility location framework-based deployment. Simulation results demonstrate UP-based EE at cost only little relaying consumption UAVs.

Managing multiple unmanned aerial vehicles from a 3D virtual environment

One hundred and three years ago the aviation age began with the Wright brothers in Kittyhawk, North Carolina. It is well known that manned aviation has made tremendous progress over the decades that followed. Less familiar are the deep history and roots of unmanned aviation, which is often thought of as a recent phenomenon. Initially, modern unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were instruments of w...

Solving Infrastructure Monitoring Problems with Multiple Heterogeneous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

A number of critical infrastructures, such as gas or oil pipelines operate in a sensitive environment and any damage done to the infrastructure significantly harms the surrounding fauna and flora and poisons water supplies. The infrastructure thus needs to be monitored and any damage or failure has to be detected and reported as quickly as possible. We focus on the enhancement of the monitoring...

Mission Control of Multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: A Workload Analysis

With unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 36 licensed pilots flew both single-UAV and dual-UAV simulated military missions. Pilots were required to navigate each UAV through a series of mission legs in one of the following three conditions: a baseline condition, an auditory autoalert condition, and an autopilot condition. Pilots were responsible for (a) mission completion, (b) target search, and (c...

Rapid aerial mapping with multiple heterogeneous unmanned vehicles

In this article, work in progress on a system for rapid aerial mapping is presented. We believe that a tool able to quickly generate an up-to-date high resolution aerial view, e.g. shortly after a natural disaster or a big incident occurs, can be a highly valuable asset to help first responders in the decision making. The presented work focuses on the path planning capabilities of the system, t...
