چکیده
Microalgae have received increasing attention as one of the most promising feedstocks in development new healthier food products and different strategies been attempted to improve their growth. However, high production costs low productivities, commonly associated with photoautotrophic growths, are still a big challenge. In this study, two-step optimization strategy was carried out order maximize biomass Chlorella vulgaris strain used at industrial scale under heterotrophic conditions. From total 24 independent variables, which were studied simultaneously, 10 presented positive effect over Xmax, while remaining shown be negative. The amount (NH4)2SO4 (6.3 g L−1), MgSO4·7H2O (0.7 C6H12O6 (50% w/v) culture medium has revealed only factors significant impact on concentration, optimum values 25.5, 64.6, 75 ml.L−1, respectively. optimized resulted an improvement Xmax by 99.6% when compared growth applied scale, proving success strategy. Additionally, carbohydrates enhanced 48.0%.

Optimization of heterotrophic cultivation of Chlorella sp. for oil production.
The oleaginous microalga Chlorella sp. LAM-H screened from freshwater was proven to be a prospective feedstock for oil production according to its fatty acid composition. In order to enhance lipid production, response surface methodology (RSM) was used with central composite design (CCD) to optimize the heterotrophic cultivation of microalgae. The experiment results showed that a satisfactory s...

Due to its abundance and also flexibility of cultivation conditions, Chlorella vulgaris microalgae is one of the most ideal options available in order to production of microalgae based biodiesel. Since vulgaris cultivation for fuel production needs economic considerations to be taken, and in first place providing biomass and lipid production costs is important, wide researches have bee...
متن کاملResponses of Heterotrophic Cultures of Chlorella vulgaris Beyerinck to Darkness and Light. II. Action Spectrum for and Mechanism of the Light Requirement for Heterotrophic Growth.
Chlorella vulgaris Beyerinck (Emerson's strain), fails to grow in the dark even when sugars are provided. This phenomenon was clearly demonstrated in the alga, C. vulgaris, for which the growth rate in darkness on a glucose medium remained constant for 2 days and then declined to approach zero. Pigment concentrations also declined in darkness. Changes in flow rate of 1% CO(2)-in-air from zero t...
متن کاملOptimization of CO₂ bio-mitigation by Chlorella vulgaris.
Biofixation of CO2 by microalgae has been recognized as an attractive approach to CO2 mitigation. The main objective of this work was to maximize the rate of CO2 fixation ( [Formula: see text] ) by the green microalga Chlorella vulgaris P12 cultivated photoautotrophically in bubble column photobioreactors under different CO2 concentrations (ranging from 2% to 10%) and aeration rates (ranging fr...
