چکیده
Due to several advantages over conventional devices for the control of electromagnetic (EM) radiation, demand metasurface utilization based on artificially engineered micro and nanostructures is boosted, especially in new generation devices. Among metasurfaces family, there has been a growing interest Huygens’ that are easy fabricate due their lower aspect ratio compared counterparts also provide alternative radiation by tuning dipolar electric magnetic resonances. In this study, an all-dielectric consisting high-refractive-index nano shells embedded low-refractive-index environment designed extensively investigated numerically analytically near-infrared spectrum. By simply shell inner radius, effects resonances unveiled specific proposed design. To assess EM wave interactions metasurface, analytical model coupled discrete dipole approach applied selected distinct cases metasurface. It shown spectral position can be detuned or tuned simultaneously depending structural parameter meta-atoms arranged periodic array. This study sheds light physics abilities structure as potential applications metasurface-based light–matter interaction including imaging sensing.

متن کاملNonlinear Metasurface Based on Giant Optical Kerr Response of Gold Quantum Wells
A nonlinear metasurface is demonstrated numerically based on the recently developed quantum-sized gold film. The active functionality of the metasurface is realized by varying the incident optical power through the ultrahigh Kerr nonlinearity of the quantum-sized gold films. In the low power region, the device acts as a normal reflecting surface, while it becomes a phase grating with most energ...
