Spectral Renormalization Group and Local Decay in the Standard Model of the Non-relativistic Quantum Electrodynamics
We prove the limiting absorption principle for the standard model of the non-relativistic quantum electrodynamics (QED) and for the Nelson model describing interactions of electrons with phonons. To this end we use the spectral renormalization group technique on the continuous spectrum in conjunction with the Mourre theory.

The models tha t we consider are 1-dimensionM ferromagnets with a ra ther peculiar, nontranslat ionMly invar iant interact ion [1-4]. Apar t f rom the lack of t ranslat ion invariance these models are supposed to behave in m a n y respects like ordinary 1-d...
متن کاملAlgebraic Renormalization of the Electroweak Standard Model
The algebraic method of renormalization is applied to the standard model of electroweak interactions. We present the most important modifications compared to theories with simple groups. ∗ Presented at the DESY Zeuthen Workshop on Elementary Particle Theory “Loops and Legs in Gauge Theories”, Rheinsberg, Germany, April 19-24, 1998. These lecture notes give an introduction to the algebraic renormalization of the Standard Model. We start with the construction of the tree approximation and give the classical action and its defining symmetries in functional form. These are the Slavnov-Taylor identity, Ward identities of rigid symmetry and the abelian local Ward identity. The abelian Ward identity ensures coupling of the elect...
متن کاملChaotic Dynamics of the Renormalization Group Flow and Standard Model Parameters
Bringing closure to the host of open questions posed by the current Standard Model for particle physics (SM) continues to be a major challenge for theoretical physics community. Motivated by recent advances in the study of complex systems, our work suggests that the pattern of particle masses and gauge couplings emerges from the critical dynamics of renormalization group equations. Using the ε-...
