Nature (almost) always prevails - challenging the status quo of artificial frozen embryo transfers

چکیده

Frozen embryo transfers (FETs) have become increasingly popular in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) due to advancements cryopreservation techniques and the implementation of "freeze-all" strategy. The choice between artificial (AC) or natural (NC) cycles for FET preparation has been a subject debate, considering factors such as endometrial receptivity, flexibility scheduling, pregnancy outcomes. While AC protocols offer convenience flexibility, studies suggested potential drawbacks, including higher miscarriage rates greater risk hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. In contrast, NC involve frequently demanding monitoring both proliferation follicular growth, which may lead increased clinic visits scheduling issues. To enhance usage FETs, multiple strategies proposed, addressing anovulation through minimal stimulation, reducing cycle monitoring, exploring novel approaches. These approaches, widening window human chorionic gonadotropin administration proliferative phase (NPP) protocol, promising outcomes patients. However, further research is needed establish optimal timing effectiveness these strategies. Overall, enhancing practicality FETs crucial expanding their utilization ART.

Comparison of clinical outcomes between fresh embryo transfers and frozen-thawed embryo transfers

BACKGROUND Advances in embryo culture technology and cryopreservation have led to a shift in in vitro fertilization (IVF) from early fresh or frozen-thawed cleavage embryo transfer to fresh or frozen-thawed blastocyst stage transfer. OBJECTIVE To compare the clinical outcomes of fresh embryo transfers and frozen-thawed embryo transfers. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this retrospective case contr...

Comparison of pregnancy outcomes of frozen embryo transfers in women undergoing artificial endometrial preparation with and without short and long-acting gonadotropin releasing hormone agonists

Background & aim: There are conflicting results regarding the benefit of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist treatment on frozen embryo transfer (FET) outcome. No study was found to compare pregnancy outcome between patients undergoing short and long acting types of GnRH agonist for FET cycles. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of short and long ac...
