چکیده
Study Objective To report a new improved laparoscopic Vecchietti vaginoplasty in patients with congenital vaginal agenesis and to investigate its efficacy safety. Design A retrospective descriptive case-control study. Setting Single academic institution. Patients Women who were diagnosed Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauster (MRKH) syndrome underwent our procedure from July 2010 June 2019 selected as the study group. The eligible participants had normal 46,XX karyotype ovarian function. Age-matched, nulliparous, sexually active women control Interventions MRKH group novel procedure. All both groups required complete Female Sexual Function Index Genital Self-Image Scale questionnaires. Measurements Main Results effects of procedure, including anatomic functional neovagina, primary outcomes. secondary outcomes consisted perioperative complications, surgical morbidities, long-term postoperative discomfort. total 79 vaginoplasty, whom 44 (55.7%) Type I syndrome, whereas 35 (44.3%) II syndrome. At 30-month follow-up after surgery, an neovagina measuring 10.44 cm length 1.30 width was achieved. obtained success 92.41% efficacy. Compared 81 age-matched, nulliparous group, there no statistical difference regardless individual measure or scores (p >.05). assessment showed significantly lower score undergoing (20.14 ± 3.05 vs 22.95 2.12; p <.001). There severe complications except 1 mild bladder injury transient fever. Conclusion Our is relatively safe effective method for treatment agenesis. It may be alternative creation reaching satisfying improving patients’ sexual
