Neuroimaging of mild behavioral impairment: A systematic review

چکیده
There are many neuroimaging studies of mild behavioral impairment (MBI), but the results have been somewhat inconsistent. Moreover, it remains unclear whether MBI is a risk factor or prodromal symptom dementia. Therefore, systematic review was conducted to summarize and consider dementia in terms its neural correlates. A supported by JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) using identified PubMed, PsycINFO, CINAHL, Google Scholar on November 1, 2022. The inclusion criteria were (i) study; (ii) research human subjects; (iii) papers written English; (iv) not case study, review, book, comments, abstract only. Joanna Briggs Institute critical appraisal checklists used assess quality selected studies, 23 structural functional imaging ultimately included review. suggested an association with atrophy hippocampus, parahippocampal gyrus, entorhinal cortex, temporal lobe, whereas indicated involvement altered default mode network, frontoparietal control salience network MBI. limitation use region-of-interest analysis. brain areas detected as correlates considered be alterations early stage each may emerge against background pathological changes

Mild cognitive impairment: a systematic review.
MCI is a nosological entity proposed as an intermediate state between normal aging and dementia. The syndrome can be divided into two broad subtypes: amnestic MCI (aMCI) characterized by reduced memory, and non-amnestic MCI (naMCI) in which other cognitive functions rather than memory are mostly impaired. aMCI seems to represent an early stage of AD, while the outcomes of the naMCI subtypes app...
متن کاملA Systematic Review of Behavioral and Emotional Problems in Children with Hearing Impairment
Background: Auditory deprivation during the early years of life can hinder the development of language, communication, social-emotional, and cognitive skills. Reviewing studies on behavioral and emotional problems in children with hearing impairment, the present article attempted to answer three questions: Are behavioral and emotional problems more prevalent in children with hearing impairment ...
متن کاملNeuroimaging criteria and cognitive performance in vascular mild cognitive impairment: A systematic review
The recognition of Cerebrovascular Disease (CVD) at earlier clinical stages may favor the control of vascular risk factors and prevention of dementia. However, operational criteria for symptomatic phases at non-dementia stages are often difficult, as the current criteria normally require the evidence of extensive subcortical disease. Objective To identify the neuroimaging profile of Vascular ...
متن کاملTreatment for mild cognitive impairment: systematic review.
BACKGROUND More people are presenting with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), frequently a precursor to dementia, but we do not know how to reduce deterioration. AIMS To systematically review randomised controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the effects of any intervention for MCI on cognitive, neuropsychiatric, functional, global outcomes, life quality or incident dementia. METHOD We reviewed 4...
متن کاملIncidence of mild cognitive impairment: a systematic review.
BACKGROUND/AIMS Subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) constitute a risk population of developing dementia and thus a population of clinical interest. This study reviews recent work on the incidence of MCI in the elderly. METHODS Incidence papers were identified by a systematic literature search. Studies on the incidence of MCI were considered if they identified 'cognitively mildly imp...
