Noise-tolerant wavefront shaping in a Hadamard basis

چکیده
Light scattering is the main limitation for optical imaging. However, light can be focused through or inside turbid media by spatially shaping incident wavefront. Wavefront ultimately limited available photon budget. We developed a new ‘dual reference’ wavefront algorithm that optimally uses light. Our method allows multi-target shaping, making it suitable transmission matrix measurements transmitting images. experimentally confirmed improvement of focus intensity compared to existing methods.

Microgenetic optimization algorithm for optimal wavefront shaping.
One of the main limitations of utilizing optimal wavefront shaping in imaging and authentication applications is the slow speed of the optimization algorithms currently being used. To address this problem we develop a microgenetic optimization algorithm (μGA) for optimal wavefront shaping. We test the abilities of the μGA and make comparisons to previous algorithms (iterative and simple-genetic...
متن کاملWavefront shaping through emulated curved space in waveguide settings.
The past decade has witnessed remarkable progress in wavefront shaping, including shaping of beams in free space, of plasmonic wavepackets and of electronic wavefunctions. In all of these, the wavefront shaping was achieved by external means such as masks, gratings and reflection from metasurfaces. Here, we propose wavefront shaping by exploiting general relativity (GR) effects in waveguide set...
متن کاملNoise shaping in neural populations.
Many neurons display intrinsic interspike interval correlations in their spike trains. However, the effects of such correlations on information transmission in neural populations are not well understood. We quantified signal processing using linear response theory supported by numerical simulations in networks composed of two different models: One model generates a renewal process where intersp...
متن کاملAmplitude-masked photoacoustic wavefront shaping and application in flowmetry.
Optical-resolution photoacoustic flowmetry (PAF) allows noninvasive single-cell flow measurements. However, its operational depth is limited by optical diffusion, which prevents focusing beyond shallow depths in scattering media, as well as reducing the measurement signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). To overcome this limitation, we used binary-amplitude wavefront shaping to enhance light focusing in t...
متن کاملMinimally Audible Noise Shaping*
Normal quantization or requantization noise is white, but the ear's sensitivity to low-level broad-band noise is not uniform with frequency. By adopting a suitable weighting curve to represent low-level noise audibility, one can design dithered requantizing noise shapers to approximate the inverse of the audibility curve and hence achieve the least audible noise penalty. If Fielder's modified E...
