Non-commutative Ring Learning with Errors from Cyclic Algebras

Abstract The Learning with Errors (LWE) problem is the fundamental backbone of modern lattice-based cryptography, allowing one to establish cryptography on hardness well-studied computational problems. However, schemes based LWE are often impractical, so Ring was introduced as a form ‘structured’ LWE, trading off hard quantify loss security for an increase in efficiency by working over well-chosen ring. Another popular variant, Module generalizes this exchange implementing module structure In work, we introduce novel variant cyclic algebras (CLWE) replicate addition ring taking adding LWE. We show that reductions expected hold, namely reduction from certain structured lattice problems decision CLWE (under condition constant rank d ). As contribution theoretic interest, view first which supports non-commutative multiplication operations. This compares favorably and naturally allows larger message space error correction coding.
