چکیده
Abstract The dynamical and topological properties of non-Hermitian systems have attracted great attention in recent years. In this work, we establish an intrinsic connection between two classes intriguing phenomena—topological phases quantum phase transitions (DQPTs)—in systems. Focusing on one-dimensional models with chiral symmetry, find DQPTs following the quench from a trivial to phase. Moreover, critical momenta time are found be directly related invariants system. We further demonstrate our theory three prototypical lattice models, lossy Kitaev chain (LKC), LKC next-nearest-neighbor hoppings, nonreciprocal Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model. Finally, suggest proposal experimentally verify by nitrogen-vacancy center diamond.

Dynamical quantum phase transitions in systems with broken-symmetry phases.
In this Letter it is shown that dynamical quantum phase transitions in Loschmidt echos control the nonequilibrium dynamics of the order parameter after particular quantum quenches in systems with broken-symmetry phases. A direct connection between Loschmidt echos and the order parameter dynamics is established which links nonequilibrium microscopic probabilities to the system's macroscopic dyna...
متن کاملTopological transition in a non-Hermitian quantum walk.
We analyze a quantum walk on a bipartite one-dimensional lattice, in which the particle can decay whenever it visits one of the two sublattices. The corresponding non-Hermitian tight-binding problem with a complex potential for the decaying sites exhibits two different phases, distinguished by a winding number defined in terms of the Bloch eigenstates in the Brillouin zone. We find that the mea...
متن کاملMultifarious topological quantum phase transitions in two-dimensional topological superconductors
We study the two-dimensional topological superconductors of spinless fermions in a checkerboard-lattice Chern-insulator model. With the short-range p-wave superconducting pairing, multifarious topological quantum phase transitions have been found and several phases with high Chern numbers have been observed. We have established a rich phase diagram for these topological superconducting states. ...
متن کاملExotic phases and quantum phase transitions: model systems and experiments
The band theory of electrons predicts that any crystal with an odd number of electrons per unit cell must be a metal. However, strong electron-electron interactions can invalidate this conclusion, and such crystals can also be insulators, known as Mott insulators. I will use this term here more broadly: often the Mott insulator has a secondary instability to spin or charge ordering which increa...
متن کاملQuantum phases and phase transitions of Mott insulators
This article contains a theoretical overview of the physical properties of antiferromagnetic Mott insulators in spatial dimensions greater than one. Many such materials have been experimentally studied in the past decade and a half, and we make contact with these studies. The simplest class of Mott insulators have an even number of S = 1/2 spins per unit cell, and these can be described with qu...
