Nonlinear Energy Harvesting and Clustering Cooperation in WPCNs

The increasing demand for data and the rapid increase in number of wireless connected devices make shortage energy spectrum resources more serious. This paper considers a powered communication network (WPCN) composed N (WDs) installed with single-antenna hybrid access point (HAP) equipped multi-antenna, where HAP sends to WDs downlink receives information transmission from uplink. To overcome “double near far” problem, this adopts clustering cooperative method enhance some WDs’ throughput performance far HAP, i.e., one is selected as cluster head (CH) remaining $$(N-1)$$ members (CMs), CH helps relay CMs’ transmit. However, because needs transmit information, its consumed during will be bottleneck system performance. achieve tradeoff between rate, multi-antenna beamforming technology concentrate CH, so balance consumption among all WDs. Considering influence in-phase/orthogonal imbalance,nonlinear amplification amplitude phase noise on those physical transceivers low-cost sensor nodes, nonlinear harvesting employed improve WPCN system. Particularly, proposed scheme’s derived, simulation results demonstrate that scheme can effective system’s fairness spectral efficiency.
